Synopsis:
Die himmlischen Heerscharen werden ausgesandt.
Sie sollen sie zurückbringen, - die Liebe.
So auch Angelo, auch er wird ausgesandt, auch er soll einem Menschen die Augen wieder für das Wesentliche öffnen, .... doch dann sieht er sie, Fleur..... und alles kommt ganz anders.
Fleur, eine Frau, eine Schauspielerin, hängt an nichts mehr in diesem Leben. Enttäuscht von Ihrem Leben und verletzt von ihrem Freund Marc, einem Filmproduzenten, will sie ihr Unglück nicht mehr ertragen und wählt den Freitod. Da steht er plötzlich vor ihr, dieser Fremde.
Und Angelo bricht die Regeln. Nicht Fleur soll er retten, sondern aus ihrem Freund Marc einen
besseren Menschen machen.Obwohl Angelo weiß, es kann keine Liebe zwischen einem Engel und einer Frau geben, verliebt er
sich in Fleur und möchte, wenn auch nur für einen Atemzug seiner Ewigkeit, als Mann verweilen.
Auch Fleur verliebt sich in den Mann, der so plötzlich in ihr Leben getreten ist.
Ihr Glück ist gebaut auf dünnem Eis.
Da erfährt Angelo von den Crying Angels, all denen, die auch einst eine Liebe auf der Erde hatten.
Er erfährt, dass er für Fleur einen anderen Mann suchen muss.
Ein anderer Mann, der die Liebe ihres anderen Lebens sein wird.
Nur so wird er eines Tages seinen Schmerz lindern können.
Ein Abschied beginnt.Dies ist die Geschichte von Fleur und Angelo.

105 EXT. BEACH DUSK
ANGELO and FLEUR walk along the coast as the sun sets deep over the horizon. They walk in silence for some time.
FLEUR
It's almost like you can read my mind. You always seem to know what's best for me. It's actually kind of scary.
Angelo stops, so does Fleur. She turns to him. He looks at her, worried.
ANGELO
I don't want to scare you.
FLEUR
No, I don't mean it like that. It's just that I've never met anyone like you before. I'vnever had this feeling of trust and honesty with anyone else.
And we've only known each other a few days. How can this be happening? Do you know?ANGELO
I do. But I don't want to scare you.
He smiles at her, she smiles back. The light of the setting sun shines through her hair, and the wind blows it lightly. Angelo strokes a strand of hair away from her face. They stare at each other for a moment. Then Fleur turns and runs.
FLEUR
Come on! Are you tired already?
Fleur continues running. Angelo stays still and watches her go. Suddenly, a dark-haired man with a sinister smile, MEPHISTO, stands next to Angelo.
MEPHISTO
I heard your scream! PAUSE. It was rather loud. Lucky for you she ran off 'And so, she tricked him with all of her sweet talk and her flattery.
Right away he followed her like an ox on the way to be slaughtered, or like a fool on the way to be punished and killed with arrows. He was no more than a bird rushing into a trap, without knowing it would cost him his life. (Proverbs Chap.7 21-23)Angelo walks off. Mephisto follows.
ANGELO
What do you want?
MEPHISTO
To see you suffer. To see you make the the decision that I would choose for you.
ANGELO
Why?
MEPHISTO
For the pain. The pain you experience now in the moment of your struggle and hopefully for your entire future. Because the pain you feel now, will be nothing compared to the pain you will feel. Afterwards, when you're up there again...
He motions to the sky.
MEPHISTO
(continuing)
...alone, without her... PAUSE.
Just for a fraction of a moment there will be no pain, only when she lies in your arms, when she kisses your lips, when she touches your body... and soul.Angelo and Mephisto stand quietly for a moment. Fleur walks along the coast until she drops to the sand. Angelo walks after her. Mephisto stands still.
MEPHISTO
I'll be around. I can hardly wait to see another broken angel come home again. He begins to leave, then turns around.
MEPHISTO
(continuing)
And by the way... my joy is His pain.Angelo is further down the beach, suddenly he breaks into a sprint to Fleur.
Angelo reaches Fleur. He grabs her hands, pulls her up and runs with her along the coast.
Fleur gets tired and she stumbles. Angelo turns to her and catches her. He holds her tightly to him
and they spin around together, laughing. Their faces draw nearer to each other and just before they touch, they separate.
They stand across from each other and stare into each other's eyes. Then, Angelo takes Fleur's face
in his hands and pulls her towards him. Their lips meet and they melt into a long, tender kiss.
After a moment Angelo backs away.ANGELO
Do you really want this?
FLEUR
Yes, more than anything.
ANGELO
So do I.
They kiss again, long and tender, their bodies entwined.
ANGELO (V.O.)
We've both fallen under. There's no looking forward, there's no turning back.
